Scott Raeside

Scott Raeside is an Experienced, Senior Mechanical Designer who started with SSI in 2022 as a Product Business Analyst. He works closely with SSI’s Product Owners, Client Success Team and Resellers to help understand our clients needs and provide the best software solutions to fulfill them. Scott started his Shipbuilding career in the Shipyards of the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland, spending time working on the Production Shop floor before completing his technical apprenticeship as a Mechanical Designer. This included the completion of a number of diplomas in Shipbuilding principles and their workflows, as well as a diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Over the past 20 years prior to joining SSI, Scott has continued his career growth working in various positions across Shipyards in the United Kingdom and Mainland Europe before moving his family to British Columbia, Canada in 2019, where he continues to grow his knowledge base and offer his experience to the industry. Positions have included, Senior Mechanical Designer (Piping and HVAC), Structural Outfit Designer, Change Management, including time spent on Production Liaison and laterally Project Coordination working closely with various departments including Functional Engineering, Design and Production. Scott is proud of his Shipbuilding career so far and aims to lean on past experiences to help aid some of the exciting changes that are required to accommodate the ever growing needs of the modern Shipyard.
